February 2015 Dividend Income
Another month behind brings us to another month full of passive income. Who doesn’t love cash flow generated by well established businesses? I don’t know about you guys, but seeing cash flow coming in is extremely rewarding. The way I look at it is that over time these same trickles of cash are going to build a huge river in the form of dividends. It is obviously going to take some time, Warren Buffett himself didn’t get his fortune in a few years or even decades, but let enough of these trickles in and you will have a huge river on your hands, to which no dam to be able to stop it.
- AT&T, Inc. (T) – $48.85
- General Mills, Inc. (GIS) – $18.52
- Verizon Communications, Inc. (VZ) – $23.10
- Apple, Inc. (AAPL) – $13.20
- Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) – $51.43
- Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) – $25.16
- Realty Income Corp. (O) – $8.96
Total – $189.22
I enjoy publishing these dividend income reports as I have gained a better understanding in how much of passive income is coming in every month and how much it is growing over time. For the month of February, I have received a total of 7 diversified direct deposits in the form of dividends. When comparing last years total in February 2014 dividend income, it presents a 4.7% year over year increase. The difference from last quarter is negative 1.1% quarter over quarter decreased growth.
The dividend income page is updated accordingly.
Thank you for reading & have a great day!
Congrats on getting over $180 in dividend income. That’s money that you earned for doing absolutely nothing. 😀
Thank you, I like to think of still earning this income, not through traditional labor system, but through thought and researching and picking the tool of ownership to invest in, which will continuously be sending checks to me. What can I say, I like the business model of asset allocation through dividend growth investment strategy.
Thanks for stopping by.
Great work. That’s a couple hundred bucks you didn’t have to work for. 🙂
Keep it up. Every day is another opportunity!
Hope all is well with the house.
Yes it is my friend. There are opportunities out there everyday. That is the wonderful thing about the market, since these opportunities are all at your finger tips. Lets hope we get some downward volatility soon because a good sale has been long overdue.
Glad to have you stop by.
Great month. You are hitting a point where the snowball starts rolling on its own. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I am very fortunate to be at a position where I can accumulate the way I have been.
Good hearing from you.
Great job DV! Receiving those dividends sure does make me happy because I know that with each one I’m just a little bit closer to reaching my crossover point. Surprisingly enough I own a piece of all 7 of your February payers as well. Keep up the good work!
Crossover point is the key here, how can somebody keep working beyond their age in a job they don’t like doing the work they hate?!? DGI is like building your own pension system, except better because you do it all yourself.
Glad to have you as a fellow shareholder in all 9 positions. =)
Congrats on the dividend income. I had a great month as well. Gotta love dividends and distributions being deposited into brokerage accounts for doing very little work after the initial research for the investment.
I appreciate it! I must say that I love reaping the rewards of ownership and hope to keep it going for decades to come.
You definitely did have a great month, now lets keep it going!
Best of luck.
Keeps growing each and every quarter, all with some solid diversification across the different companies. Nice work!
Hope everything is going well with the new house!
Still have my work cut out on perfect diversification.
Thanks for stopping by.
Awesome month DV. You’re rocking it my friend. Keep up the great work. Passive income is too addicting. What a great feeling. I hope you keep logging these monthly reports because I’ll be beside you with mine. Take care and have fun.
Thank you. Yeah, funny you say that, passive income is addicting and it has been my drug of choice for some time now. I live dividends.
You are doing outstanding yourself over there, lets keep it going, brick by brick.
