June 2020 Dividend Income

Hundred dollar bills in dividend incomeFirst over $1,000 in dividend income milestone! Woohoo! It is incomprehensible to human mind that a large number of $10 and $20 bills and a few $100 bills can add up to as much as $1,000. Well it’s true, human psychology is not easy to comprehend. Math is math and June 2020 dividend income is officially my biggest dividend income month on record ever, by a wide margin too. People all around the world continue to sell stocks and live in rampant fear but the truth of the fact is, that it is the best time to buy stocks and I continue to do so to this day. Actually, I believe this downturn has created one of the greatest stock buying opportunities in our lives, especially if you are young. I enjoy publishing these monthly dividend income reports as I have gained a much better understanding in how much of my passive income is coming in every month and how much it is growing over time. For the month of June I have received a total of 24 diversified direct deposits in the form of dividends straight to my brokerage account. This is not to brag, but to motivate and inspire.

When statistically comparing last years dividend income total from June 2019 to June 2020, it represents a positive 111.8% for a year over year increased dividend income growth. WFC reduced its dividend by 80% so that dividend will need to be rebuilt by the company as I will not get such high dividend income checks for some time. RDS.B also reduced its dividend few months ago, but the new dividend income is reflected in this summary. Also, LAMR reduced its dividend, but nothing to worry about. Also, I had few other additions that just not had the time to write about as I picked up new or additional shares in EXC, MMM, ORI, PRU, WM & LAMR a few months ago at rock bottom prices.

The dividend income page has been updated accordingly.

Yes, congrats on achieving a 4-digit month, DV. Take a moment and enjoy it.
Sad to see that your largest July payer (WFC) cut their dividend. I was stung by that one as well. However, we’ll recover and be better than ever in the future.

I appreciate it, it was a nice surprise to me as well. Very interesting how how compound interest works. As for WFC, it is on the operating table after taking a beating, very unfortunate it had to go the dividend reduction aka crucifixion route, but it is what it is, its a great businesses and it will be back stronger, flying higher and paying bigger dividends that it had before. I am in for the longterm.

      Take care.

Congrats on your milestone. Ever upwards and onwards, next is to hit $12,000 for the year (a grand a month)!

On my way there, it is inevitable, eventually will be $100,000 per year and more!
