June 2015 Dividend Income

Hundred dollar bills in dividend incomeJune 2015 is officially in the books, and it has been a record breaking dividend income month. Over $300 bucks in passive investment income tops my any other month I received before. I have been quite busy deploying fresh capital into investments through stock acquisitions and with continuous dividend raises from these cash churning companies in my portfolio, the dividend income just keep on growing. That is compounding action at its finest baby!

I enjoy publishing these monthly dividend income reports as I have gained a better understanding in how much of my passive income is coming in every month and how much it is growing over time. For the month of June, I have received a total of 18 diversified direct deposits in the form of dividends. That is a record all by itself, I have never received so many small paychecks before. Though, when you add them all up you can really see the strength of unity.

When comparing last years total in June 2014 to June 2015 dividend income, it presents a positive 8.8% for a year over year increased growth. The difference from last quarter is positive 7.7% quarter over quarter increased growth.

Excellent month! You have a good list of stocks here. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing these numbers go up.

Thank you. Feels great when the dividends are hitting new record highs and I cannot wait to see what the future brings. This is a true passive wealth strategy that has been concealed from the publics eyes.

      Thanks for following my journey.

Always nice achieving a new milestone. Congrats. I still may be shopping for more REITs if they tumble again because of rate hike chatter. You are one of the few that hold PSA even though it’s a monster real estate owner. Looks interesting to me among other names of course. Thanks for sharing. I think the second half of 2015 you’ll get to your goal because of compounding returns.

Thanks. It is really easy to get complacent with investments, sometimes even with dividend growth investing. Therefore, tracking the growth has helped tremendously by calculating dividend income on month to month basis while also sharing my story and perhaps inspiring some people out there.

I think PSA has a lot of room to grow since consumerism isn’t slowing down and people need more stuff and you know exactly where that stuff will goes.

Thanks for having confidence in me achieving my dividend income goal, I will give my best. I know I can do it!

      Best of luck!

Congrats on the new milestone. Slightly behind your annual goal just means you’ll have more reasons to work extra hard on your dividend income for the remainder of the year. Keep up the good work.

    • DividendVet on July 5, 2015 at 22:13

Thanks, it is tremendous improvement. I am really not sure what I did besides save a little and invest the rest. Simple as that and the year over year growth comes naturally. No magic or complex investing strategies.

Will do! You keep up the good work yourself.

    DV,

Congrats on the new milestone. The great thing about dividend growth investing is that new milestones are just a few new investments and dividend raises away. 🙂

I’m sure you’ll hit your goal this year. New investments will start to pay out and a couple dividend raises will push you over that hump.

    Keep it up!

    Best regards.

Thanks man, it’s a great feeling when everything is chugging along. Yeah, I noticed how aggressive dividend income keeps on growing, it is such a robust strategy.

As for the goal, I hope I can get some more help from dividend raises, because cash is going to be tight with a few home renovations coming up. Either way I will give my best shot at it.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    Hey DV,

Congrats on the 8.8% increase. That’s an amazing number!
Meanwhile hitting the $300 passive income mark must feel like you’re on the right track.

Keep on investing as compounding is the 8th world wonder!
I’m sure you’ll reach your goal.

    Good luck. DfS

    • DividendVet on July 2, 2015 at 16:05

Much appreciated! Over $300 is an awesome achievement to hit and it really hit the sweet spot for me. I feel like these dividend income months are like stairs, I am climbing away and it is only a matter of time until I reach that $1,000 in monthly dividend income. Lets keep it going!

I am actually hearing more and more about this 8th wonder of the world. People are writing and taking about it and it is going viral. I am sure glad I am taking advantage of this thing as early as possible.

      Have a good one.

Your goal is a shoe-in with just a small amount of new capital investment; it shouldn’t be a problem at all. Although, I would be worried about a Mattel dividend cut. They’ll announce their next dividend in two weeks–hopefully it stays at $0.38, but given the payout ratio is over 110%, I suspect a cut can’t be far away.

Thanks for your confidence towards reaching the goal. I believe I can do it too!

As far as for Mattel, it is an ugly duckling in my portfolio. I am going to ride it out though and see what happens, they have plenty of leading brands to get into shape. If the dividend does not get cut I might double down. We will see.

      Take care.

Awesome Month for you DV. You’re doing awesome bud. Keep it up and it’s just wonderful receiving these dividend checks every month. Great feeling. Thank you for sharing and take care.

    • DividendVet on July 1, 2015 at 20:43

Thanks, hard work is finally starting to pay off in bigger dividends. Gotta keep feeding the money making machine until one day it can be feeding itself. Sustainability is the key and with dividend growth investing it truly can be achieved. Thanks for kind words.

      The best to you.

  8. Captain Dividend on July 1, 2015 at 16:34

Another record month! I think you will achieve your year end goal as your additional purchases will begin to kick in the last half of the year. You’re not too far off the pace as it is now. Keep it up!

    • DividendVet on July 1, 2015 at 20:38

Yes it is, surprised me a bit. It is really hard to see the growth unless you are tracking it. I am glad I am for moments like this. As far as the goal goes, I will give my best shot and some more and hopefully I can deliver it.

      Thanks for stopping by!
