June 2019 Dividend Income

Hundred dollar bills in dividend incomeSummer month of June is over and it is that time once again to make that count. I enjoy publishing these monthly dividend income reports as I have gained a much better understanding in how much of my passive income is coming in every month and how much it is growing over time. For the month of June I have received a total of 20 diversified direct deposits in the form of dividends straight to my brokerage account.

 Aflac, Inc. (AFL) $32.94
Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) $9.59
 Wall-Mart Stores, Inc. (WMT) $8.55
United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS) $19.20
 Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) $34.27
 3M Co. (MMM) $8.64
 Realty Income Corp. (O) $20.21
 McDonald’s Corp. (MCD) $26.06
 BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) $13.38
The Home Depot, Inc. (HD) $10.88
 V.F. Corp. (VFC) $8.51
 Waste Management, Inc. (WM) $13.68
 Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.B) $77.08
Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR) $44.28
 Lamar Advertising Co. (LAMR) $30.72
 Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) $33.23
 PepsiCo, Inc. (PEP) $25.88
The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV) $8.20
 Union Pacific Corp. (UNP) $40.87
Vanguard High Dividend Yield Index Fund (VYM) $43.21
Total $509.38

When statistically comparing last years dividend income total from June 2018 to June 2019, it represents a negative 4.3% for a year over year decreased dividend income growth. The primary impact on this decrease was VNQ paying in July rather than June.

I will DRIP the following upcoming month: VNQ & VYM.

The dividend income page has been updated accordingly.

    Vet –

Great list and a different mix that I typically see, such as DLR really being a larger payer for you. Now, if you included VNQ – I am sure your results would have looked insane! Great job DV, talk soon.

Funny thing you mentioned DLR, as much as I enjoyed buying individual REIT stocks, I am starting to lean more towards a REIT ETF such as VNQ, especially long term point of view. I would like to focus on individual businesses. Still love my individual REITs.

      Thanks for stopping by Lanny

That’s a strong collection of dividend payers you have for June, DV. I share 8 companies with you, and could easily see that number growing, as I like your stock holdings.
Too bad about the YoY income decrease, but when its primarily due to an ETF changing their payment month, no worries there.
Keep up the great work… even higher dividend totals are coming your way in the future.

Thank you for your support. Years of building it will now pay many years of dividend. I like that deal and so should everyone else.

      Glad to hear from you!
