May 2018 Dividend Income

Hundred dollar bills in dividend incomeAnother month and another set of dollars hits the brokerage account. I enjoy publishing these monthly dividend income reports as I have gained a much better understanding in how much of my passive income is coming in every month and how much it is growing over time. For the month of May I have received a total of 10 diversified direct deposits in the form of dividends straight to my brokerage account. Here it is!

 AT&T, Inc. (T) $68.39
 General Mills, Inc. (GIS) $22.48
 Verizon Communications, Inc. (VZ) $49.55
 British American Tobacco (BTI) $15.87
 Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) $57.61
Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) $28.98
 Realty Income Corp. (O) $19.63
 STAG Industrial, Inc. (STAG) $5.37
 Apple, Inc. (AAPL) $28.92
 Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) $7.41
Total $304.01

When statistically comparing last years dividend income total from May 2017 to May 2018, it represents a negative 1.5% for a year over year decreased dividend income growth. The decrease in growth is primarily due to last year COST paying a massive special dividend.

I will DRIP the following upcoming month: BKE, GIS, KMI, PG, VIAB, VNQ & VYM.

The dividend income page is updated accordingly.

Thank you for reading & have a great day!

    Hi,

thanks for publishing your monthly income once again. As an example to follow, I added you to the list of Income Heroes tracing your progress since 41 months. The site available here.

I hope you like. Keep on your good work,

Great looking list of “Income Heroes” and it is my very pleasure to prove such information and as well the importance of tracking it for myself. Killing two birds with one stone.

      Take care.

    DVet,

$300 is a great May – regardless of the special dividend situation. We shared some great raises this past month with AAPL and KMI (about time). Going to be great to get more of those!

Money is money, no matter how much it is and I am very grateful for every penny. I tell people all the time, “you have to respect the penny, because one penny can equal to great amounts and if you cannot respect a penny, then you will not respect millions of pennies”.

      Loved the raises thus far from , AAPL-15.9%, PEP-15.2%, KMI-62.5%, JNJ-7.1%, PM-6.5%, and the list goes on…

      To many more!

Oh, I also bought some more KMI.

Another solid month, DV. I’d like to add AAPL and COST to my portfolio…. will have to wait for a pullback. It appears I missed a golden chance to swoop up some LAMR (another stock of yours) in the low $60s. Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much! As much as I like to take credit, I give it all to my portfolio who is doing the heavy lifting.

As far LAMR, you will get your chance buy this one again, real estate has some cyclical volatility to it.

      All the best!

    Vet –

WOW! Over $300 is fricken impressive for May. You have to love the amounts received. Further, you could consider your percent increase from last year, not including the special dividend.

Many thanks Lanny! Yes, yes and some more hell yes. I do love it and very grateful for every dollar received for each and every time, but the best part is knowing that it will forever be coming in and growing.

As far as the special dividend from last year is concerned, which did throw off some figures for this month, I am just tracking as total so I’d rather not exclude it. But yeah, I see your point, dividends did grow year over year excluding last year’s COST dividend outlier.

Thanks for stopping by hope all is well!
